The Future of Climate Talent
The demand for green talent has grown 2x faster than the supply of people to do the work. How can we help? At our event at New York Climate Week 2023, we brought this topic to the forefront with our partners at LinkedIn and held a game show hosted by SNL's Colin Jost to shine light on how we are creating a pipeline for green jobs.

This event was well attended by our core ecosystem, our funders and partners, as well as some interns and job seekers entering climate. The game show contestants were climate leaders and climate interns. Kawika and Palak were standouts in our EDICT program (Empowering Diverse Climate Talent), our recruitment and placement pipeline. Holding the event at Climate Week positioned Elemental as a thought leader in green jobs, and strengthened our relationship with our trusted funder, LinkedIn. The success of the event in continued grant for EDICT and expanding beyond this program.
Our design system for this event was inspired by the EDICT program subbranding. Because the programing was a game geared around our student interns, we decided to lean into bold colors and excitement. While normally our brand colors are not mixed, using the colors in a digitally knit gradient mesh created a unique look for this event that set it apart from the rest of our work. This was the first exploration of the serif font with our brand font, adding a touch of sophistication to the fun of the designs.
After creating the visual identity and key graphics for this event, the environmental production and screen visuals were passed to our partners at GoalsHouse, our venue and cohost of the event.
