The future favors the bold
Our First of a Kind, Next to Scale campaign places our entrepreneurs and their technologies are part of a lineage of innovators who changed the world. While the technologies mark progress, this work is deeply human. Everyone at Elemental, in our portfolio, and across the climate ecosystem is part of this shared endeavor to make the world a better and more livable place.

Our campaign began with an intro video at our New York Climate Week event, and evolved to campaign ads on the streets of NYC, collaborations with portfolio companies, and follow up digital storytelling on our owned platforms.
This campaign highlights the duality in our storytelling — both technical and emotional, left brain and right brain. The rollout included so much of the work across our team, accompanied by creative elements that make it meaningful and memorable. Our campaign positioned us as a thought leader in the FOAK conversation, and used storytelling to guide those new to climate technology into that conversation.
First-of-a-Kind, or more often heard as FOAK, is a term often used in climate tech, usually in a technical sense. For this series, I was inspired take the buzz around FOAK, dare to spell out the acronym, and zoom out to the big picture: framing today’s first-of-a-kind climate
innovations alongside history’s defining inventions.
We've learned about the Wright Brothers building and flying the first planes. But who's carrying that torch today? These innovators are already among us, facing seemingly insurmountable challenges. But we've seen time and time again that before it's normal, it's impossible. The future favors the bold.

Our campaign ads in New York were featured on Oonee Pods, ad space on the side of pods where urban commuters safely store their bikes. This was an exciting moment to expand our reach and partner with an incredible portfolio company.
Our New York Climate Week event brought together philanthropy, investors, and entrepreneurs for a focused conversation on what’s next in innovation and infrastructure.
